Recipe type: Entree, Primal, Gluten-Free, Low-Carb
Yield: 4 lamb burgers
Mint Yogurt Sauce:
  • 1 cup plain, full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup loosely packed fresh mint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lb. lean (85/15) ground lamb
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Olive oil spray
  1. To prepare the sauce, process sauce ingredients in food processor until combined. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together burger ingredients. Form 4 large patties, each 3 inches in diameter and ½ inch thick.
  3. Preheat your grill over medium-high heat. I used a two sided, dual contact, George Foreman Grill, but any grill will work. Lightly spray the grill with olive oil spray. For medium doneness, grill the burgers 5 minutes on the George Foreman grill, or 5 minutes per side if using a regular grill or a grill pan.
  4. Serve the burgers with the mint yogurt sauce. If you don’t mind grains/carbs, these lamb burgers are very good stuffed inside warm pita bread, with the sauce spooned on top.
