Specifically to our Site, unless you choose to email us and provide more information such as your name (which we don’t have any mechanism in place to then collect and keep), the only personal information we collect is your email address when you choose to subscribe to our blog.
Sensitive personal data
We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. D. Commercial information. Examples: Records of personal property, products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, or other purchasing or consuming histories or tendencies. Do we collect? NO.
E. Biometric information. Examples: Genetic, physiological, behavioral, and biological characteristics, or activity patterns used to extract a template or other identifier or identifying information, such as, fingerprints, faceprints, and voiceprints, iris or retina scans, keystroke, gait, or other physical patterns, and sleep, health, or exercise data. Do we collect? NO.
F. Internet or other similar network activity. Examples: Browsing history, search history, information on a consumer’s interaction with a website, application, or advertisement. Do we collect? YES. Through our partners Google Analytics and AdThrive, we collect information on your interaction with our website or with advertisements on our website. However, this information is anonymous in the sense that it’s not connected to your name or email address.
G. Geolocation data. Examples: Physical location or movements. Do we collect? NO. We have access to aggregate geolocation data through Google Analytics, but it is not connected to specific users (names, emails, or IP addresses).
H. Sensory data. Examples: Audio, electronic, visual, thermal, olfactory, or similar information. Do we collect? NO.
I. Professional or employment-related information. Examples: Current or past job history or performance evaluations. Do we collect? NO.
J. Non-public education information (per the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (20 U.S.C. Section 1232g, 34 C.F.R. Part 99)). Examples: Education records directly related to a student maintained by an educational institution or party acting on its behalf, such as grades, transcripts, class lists, student schedules, student identification codes, student financial information, or student disciplinary records. We obtain the personal information listed above from the following sources:

In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have not sold any personal information.

Exercising Access, Data Portability, and Deletion Rights

We use this service, among other things, to enable user ratings of our recipes. Recipe Maker has provided us with the following information:
Cookies: When user ratings are enabled we store a WPRM_User_Voted_%recipe% cookie (with %recipe% the ID of the recipe) that contains the rating this user has given to a particular recipe. This cookie is used as (one of the) measures to prevent rating spam.
IP Address: When user ratings are enabled we store the IP address upon voting. This is used as (one of the) measures to prevent rating spam.
How long we retain your data: Our cookies are stored for 30 days. User-submitted data is stored indefinitely in the local database.
You may use this page to opt-out of interest-based advertising.

An IP or Internet Protocol Address is a unique numerical address assigned to a computer as it logs on to the internet. VDL, Inc. does not have access to any personally identifiable information and we would never seek this information. Your IP address is logged when visiting our site, but our analytic software only uses this information to track how many visitors we have from particular regions, and Recipe Maker as detailed above uses it to prevent rating spam.
Who we may share your information with
We may share your information with third-party companies that function on our behalf. Examples include, but are not limited to, companies that assist us with serving advertisement on the Site (such as Adthrive.com), analyzing data (such as Google Analytics), and providing marketing assistance (such as Feedblitz.com) or technical assistance. We may share information about you that they need to perform their functions.
How will we use your information and why?
At VDL, Inc. we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to provide the Services you have requested from us. We will only use this information subject to your instructions, data protection law and our duty of confidentiality.
Our lawful reason for processing your personal information is “A legitimate interest” eg to respond to your request to receive emails from us. We collect information on our website to process your inquiry and send you emails and newsletters.
