Blackened Salmon

The ingredients are simple: Salmon fillets, butter, and Cajun-style spices.  You can use skin-on or skinless salmon, but I prefer skin-on because the skin is so wonderfully flavorful.

Mix the spices

01

Your first step is to mix the Cajun-style spices in a bowl.

Season the fish

02

Your second step is to season the fish all over with the Cajun-style rub.

03    Cook the fish

Cook the fish in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Start skin side down and cook for 3 minutes.

Cook the other side

04

Now, turn the fish  and cook the flesh side for three more minutes.

Finish in the oven

05

To make sure the fish is cooked through, place it in the oven for a few minutes.

06   The fish is ready

And it's perfectly cooked! Browned on the outside, and so juicy on the inside.
