My low carb recipes are easy and healthy. I avoid artificial sweeteners, diet sodas and processed low carb foods and stick with wholesome ingredients.
I started making low carb recipes in 2013, when my husband developed prediabetes. We tried several eating plans before going low carb (whole grains, almost vegan), but the only thing that worked was a low carb diet.
I think you will love my low carb recipes. They are easy, because I'm lazy and do not like complicated recipes. They are also healthy. Sure, you can go low carb by using artificial sweeteners, diet soda, and processed low carb foods. But my personal challenge is to keep my low carb recipes wholesome.
I do use sweeteners in my low carb desserts - mostly stevia these days, because I believe it's very safe. Some of my recipes contain xylitol, but I have phased that out because one of us is sensitive to it and gets tummy troubles whenever she eats it.
Most of my low carb baked goods are made with almond flour or coconut flour, and instead of traditional breading, I use almond meal or crushed pork rinds. So these recipes are also gluten free.
