I'm very proud of my collection of healthy desserts.
I used to think about desserts as "bad." You were either "good" by not touching them, or "bad" by indulging.
I still believe that a low carb diet, in fact any healthy diet, should be very low in sweets - even sugar-free sweets. But occasionally, say on weekends or on special occasions, there ARE healthy desserts that one can indulge in without causing weight gain or health issues.
So yes, desserts can be healthy. If they are homemade, and are made with ingredients such as dark chocolate and fruit, then they are definitely healthy!
Admittedly, some of my desserts are healthi-ER, which is also an improvement.
The idea: homemade, minimal sugar, no inflammatory ingredients such as seed oils. Ideally low carb and gluten free too.
