One of my favorite ways to use canned tuna, this spicy tuna salad is creamy and very flavorful. It’s great in sandwiches, and especially in wraps – either tortilla wraps or lettuce wraps. If you don’t like spicy, simply use mild salsa instead of hot salsa.
Makes 4 servings
New quantity:
Total time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
1 (8oz) package reduced fat cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 cup low fat plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup hot red salsa
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 (5-oz) cans tuna in water, well-drained and flaked with a fork
Directions
With a hand whisk in a medium bowl, whisk together cream cheese and yogurt. Add salsa, salt and pepper and whisk to combine. Add cilantro and tuna and mix with a fork to combine. Serve immediately, or – better yet – chill an hour in the fridge to allow flavors to set.
