Maybe it’s a snack, maybe it’s a dessert… I’m not sure. But these hot, sweet broiled bananas are delicious, especially when spooned over creamy, thick Greek yogurt.
Makes 2 servings
New quantity:
Total time: 10 minutes
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 2 minutes
Ingredients
Butter flavored cooking spray
1 large ripe banana, sliced crosswise into 1/4-inch slices
1 teaspoon (packed) brown sugar
1 tablespoon marsala wine (or brandy, or rum) – optional
1 cup low-fat Greek yogurt
Directions
1. Place an oven rack about 4 inches from the broiler element, and heat the broiler on high.
2. Lightly spray a small broiler-safe baking dish with butter flavored cooking spray. Arrange the banana slices in the dish, in one layer. Sprinkle evenly with the brown sugar. Drizzle with the wine. Lightly spray with the butter spray.
3. Place the baking dish under the broiler and cook until the bananas begin to caramelize, 4-5 minutes.
4. Divide the yogurt between two small bowls. Spoon the bananas and sauce over the yogurt. Serve immediately.
